The Model S and SM are designed to use the after-market triggers originally produced for the Remington 700. Such Triggers are widely available from various mail order companies. We at Barnard Precision tend to use Jewel, Timney and Shilen, though others also fit. But be warned that size differences have developed between various triggers, the major difference being a variation in striker fall from the original Remington.
Some minor gunsmithing maybe needed, however, not alot. But remember Take Care - Safety First.
With your action is a hanger to take the trigger and with it four 1/8" pins. These are deliberately supplied 'long' with chamfers to allow you to use two of them as a temporary set up to attach the trigger to the hanger. Even though some triggers come with pins we suggest that you replace these with the pins we supply and grind them to suit, permanently replacing them.
